Background - After successfully defeating the Fountain Wind energy project this past summer, the citizens of Shasta County awoke to the news that the state of California passed a law (AB 205) that takes local control of renewable energy project approvals away from local citizens and gives it to the California Energy Commission. The Fountain Wind developers have filed with the California Energy Commission to get the project approved under the new law.
